As a comment about Rose (Rosa 'Pierre de Ronsard'), zuzu wrote:

This rose, more commonly known as the Eden Climber in the United States, is the ideal climber. It is a vigorous grower and the thick canes have no trouble holding up the heavy blooms, which are packed with petals (as many as 60). The blooms are heat resistant and rain resistant.

The roses in our Rose Database are listed under all of their names (denomination, exhibition name, trade names, and other names under which they are sold). The main one is the exhibition name. In the case of this rose, the exhibition name is Pierre de Ronsard. The other names are listed as alternatives and will show up in search results. It wouldn't make much sense to list roses under their denomination codes, which are probably what you'd call their cultivar names. Most people know this rose as the Eden Climber or Pierre de Ronsard. Very few would know it as MEIviolin, so it wouldn't be helpful or sensible to list it that way in the alphabetical array of rose names.
