Dave, is there a guideline for videos? I tried uploading a couple by hitting the upload image button and then selecting a video that was on my computer. It spun and spun and spun. I finally gave up. The video was less than a minute long, take with an iPhone. It was taken by a friend. It did not upload after several minutes. I have high speed Road Runner connection.

I have a Flip camera. I tried a very small, short video from it, and didn't get anywhere either.

The iPhone video from my friend is a .mov and my flip camera videos are .MP4 files. I was trying to upload to a regular thread.

Is there a preferred size or file type? I remember uploading a video to Cubits, but never have here.

Do I need to run them through iMovie to decrease the file size, or is it the file type?

Only images can be uploaded - videos won't work like that.

The only way to do a video is to upload it first to youtube and then embed it in the forum or blog or wherever.

Do you mean give a link? If not, what do you mean by embed?

This explains why it would not work when I tried it! Big Grin

You would upload the video to youtube, then you would use a certain bbcode tag to cause the video to appear on the page here at ATP.

Someone posted a tutorial at one point on how to grab the part of the video URL to make the embed happen. It's not the easiest thing to explain. Glare

Once when we were hybernating in the basement taking cover from a tornado warning I brought my new Asus eee pad tablet with me and tested out taking pics with the camera. When I checked my library to view them I saw that I had recorded a little video of my dh petting the dogs. I wouldn't know how to share it Confused
