Hello photographers!

As many of you know, we are dusting off all of NGA's fabulous content and getting that content back out to the world in order to inspire, inform, and educate gardeners everywhere. The trouble is, many of these articles and guides don't have photos to go with them. Some of them do, but most of those are small and not good quality. That's where you come in

From time to time, I will be asking for a specific photo. If you have one that meets my needs, treemail it to me along with a brief note of what it is (ie: "This is a poinsettia in a window." If I use your photo, I will award you 20 acorns.

Meanwhile, if there is ever an article or idea that you have a perfect photo to contribute, treemail it to me along with a link to the article. Again, if I accept it, 20 acorns will come your way.

Warning- not all photos will be accepted! Only the best ones, and I will be picky

I am placing this thread at the top of the forum as a sticky, and I will be locking the thread. When I have specific needs for photos, I will post as a new thread, then delete that thread when I have found the picture I want. That way, you wont' ever have to plow through to find what items still needs a photo. Only items I am still looking for will be there. Occasionally @jon will also post asking for an image.

To treemail me with your photo, click on my (or Jon's) username and then click on "send Trish (or Jon) a treemail".

It is FINE if the image is already on NGA somewhere. As long as you took the picture, it does not have to be new.

Thanks for all of your work and contributions to help make NGA the best gardening site on the internet! I can't wait to see your photos!

In Search Of

I need one or more photos for an article on growing herbs indoors. The photo must be obviously an herb, and obviously growing inside. Otherwise, I'm open to interpretation.

I'm Looking for Several photos of Hand Tools, Gardening tools, and Motorized tools (lawn mower, etc) for many different articles that will run through the spring.

@Jon is in search of any photo that would be good for the inspirational quotes. Any flower/nature/landscape photo is fair game, but each one needs room in the composition of the photo to allow for the words.

Needing photos of bulbs grown indoors. Any bulb is fine, but the photo must be obvious that it is indoors.

Looking for photos of branches that have been forced to bloom indoors.

We are looking for pictures of garden pests (insects).
Pictures of the damage caused by the pests are also requested.

All photos must be clear, in focus, and obviously taken in the garden/on the plant.

You must be the original photographer.

50 acorns will be awarded to each accepted photo.
Photos will be used in our Pest Library, which is badly in need of updated pictures.
