Its a Parodia, maybe P. leninghausii.

It does not need a larger pot. If anything, it needs a smaller pot. Be careful not to over-water.

Oh very nice gift there Vinni! Lovey dubby No need for bigger container, it will be good in that for now. But I would make that media a bit more grittier, maybe add in a bit more pumice or perlite. Watch out for the seasonal changes, less water during the cool months.
