It can be like keeping a diary - it can be like writing a letter to friends... it's for sharing whatever's on your mind.
Your customer's wife will be overwhelmed. I know I was, when a friend surprised me with a painting of my Angie-girl one year.
Can you post the picture of Pete? Or of some of your other paintings?
Is your sleeping garden snow-covered?

No snow here. 3 nights of heavy frost has killed every annual.
Ahh inserting photos into the blog. This action illudes me. I have a call out to Sharon, hope she can help.
I tried the teeny icon but cant believe all the information needed to load a photo.Wish there was an easy upload as there is in posts.
I loaded omages at the right side of the blog but they disappeared when I published.

I forgot the blog does images differently. Ignore what I said, then. LOL

Jo Anne, glad you're blogging. Photos please of your paintings & anything else. We all down here in the south land like to see snow pictures too --- or even frost!

I figured out the photo thingy... after you upload them to the right-hand side, just drag and drop them into your post. the little photo icon you see (the insert thing that asked for all kinds of info) is for if you're linking to a photo on the internet

still doens't work? That's odd.
I'm sure this is what you're doing, but just in case...
1. edit blog post (or create new one)
2. on right-hand side of screen, select "upload photo" and select pic to upload.
3. when pic appears on right-hand side, drag it with mouse into blog post, and drop it.
4. save blog post.

No, that's missing a step. Sharon had to give me a tutorial yesterday because it was my first time. Let's see.... You click where you want the photo to be THEN drag & drop it THEN click on the photo again THEN go up & click on the little tree on the top menu THEN back down to the photo & RIGHT click on it --- you get a drop down menu where you can select the positioning (left, right, centered etc...). I think I'm remembering all that correctly without actually sitting here doing it as I type. but Lee Anne if you have any more problems check back & we'll try to talk you through it.

I am in touch with Sharon, she is out for awhile and will get back to me. I wrote a step by step of what I have been doing and she will check for missed steps.
I dont have problems loading or pasting anywhere else .I just dont get whats wrong.
I will try again.I have been creating tests using one letter and not writting an entire blog just to fail.

Ann, I've been able to just drag it exactly where I want it to be, just like I do in MS-Word.

Mary, that's odd. It always went to the left side of the page when I did it. To make it centered I had to do the menu alignment thingy.
Jo Anne - what is your browser? IE, Firefox, Google Chrome? You may have to treemail Dave.

I wasn't talking about centering and such... just about getting it in the right position relative to the text that went with it. Once it's in the body, then I right-click and select the proper alignment (thanks to your earlier post -- until then, hadn't figured that out)

Oh, okay. Yes, I just drag & drop also like you're talking about. I did have a glitch though which I have to work on figuring out --- that is when I'm all done then when you click on an image & enlarge it --- mine didn't enlarge --- well, weird thing is I put 5 images in the blog (5 or 6) & ONLY one would enlarge. Why? I might expect all or none but one yes & one no???????? Weird.

So anyway.... if you ignore the frustration with photos, blogging can be just as much fun as posting in a thread or writing letters to friends (or to yourself, or whoever)
