Lovely pics! The 8-spotted forrester comes here also. Sometimes its caterpillars show up on wild grapevines, one of the host plants it uses.

I had forgotten I took this pic. Last week a Queen showed up. They've been pretty rare this year...but then, again...butterflies in general have been rare this year.

Well, one yellow bloom is roadside rudbeckias, with the Eight Spotted Forester, and the Angelwing is on a 10' tall Cup Plant.

I think I read the Forester feeds on grapes, of which we have, but aren't a pest. I'm glad because I sure like them.
