I'm afraid to promise, in case I don't get to it... but I think it is very clever. Also, I don't paint as well as you and Becky do... I don't know if I could get the face right. I'm starting to think about my winter projects, and as always, I need to catch up on my scrapbooking. I have volumes since Tony and I first met, but then I ran into a bit of a roadblock in 2008 (when the times, they were a-changin'). Got that part done, and I hope with honor, but I'm still a couple of years behind... so I think that is going to be my priority. I know this is completely OT (sorry), but I really want to catch up with that. Also, I seem to be having some sort of draw towards learning to knit and/or crochet. Don't know if I'll get to that this year, either, LOL! Oh, and I'm getting cross country skis for my birthday so I get outside and enjoy my beautiful mountains more in the winter... and, and, and...

But, I do love your nutcracker. Thanks for posting the tutorial!

Sharon, he is adorable! Thanks for the instructions too, looks like fun. I'm thinking a great project to do when my nieces and nephews visit this winter.

It is a fun project with children. I think with them, the messier the project the better it is.
They look good standing guard around a tree, too.

I believe you could do it sometime between 1:30 and 2 a.m. if you really wanted to, Larry. It's only a little bit messy and after only maybe 3 thirty minute sessions you'd be ready to paint!

The painting part might take a little longer, though

If I did it then, I'd have visions of nutcrackers dancing in my head all night!

It is Friday afternoon! I am 14 hours ahead of you I can tell you that tomorrow was a beautiful, but wet day

Printed out Sharon's instructions for Nutcracker, my mind doesn't retain much any more so need to print it out as I move along in the project. I've collected a lot of cans, now to see what I am missing. Opps, need feet, guess DH will have to eat some sardines (yuk) I have here. I know what his next snack item will be.
