I saw a post on FB of Sebastian Mass and put it on my wishlist. https://www.facebook.com/group...

Old Lace's description sold me.

Will do, LG! Old Lace is supposed to be very fragrant, you'll have to tell us what you think of it....

Caroline, I know I will. I have found so many that I want to add because others posted photos and talked about why they liked them.
This is a great group!!

Reluctantly, I placed an order with Fina Gardens: Kirinmaru, Eskimo Pie, Princess Bride, Ann Cousins, Sequestered Sunshine.
I lost a Kirinmaru a few years ago and I have been wanting Eskimo Pie. I'm sure I will regret this next October Rolling my eyes.

LG, I sure do hope to have lots of new blooms next spring! I'll be posting pics if so!

Craig, I've resisted Fina but am not sure at all that I'll be able to resist Klehm's Song Sparrow this year....they have 8 that I really want, 2 that have been on my wanted list for a few years. I'll try to hold off ordering until a few more stores are open for the year but my will power is weak.....

I too am weak Liz. I am running out of space to plant, that's why I have to be very selective. I will definitely buy from Nate but everyone else I must be realistic. There are still future hybrids that will be arriving so I have to leave room for future plants. Tough decisions lie ahead! Rolling my eyes.

I have plenty of room, the missing link in completely fulfilling my peony obsession is time and energy to add new beds! And I don't think anyone who's seen Solaris Farms in person could abandon Solaris!

Craig, I also almost ran out of space Sad Have a few spots for next fall additions. I could not resist and bought from Fina Gardens: Morning Lilac, Raspberry Charm, Salmon Dream. I am waiting for new catalog from Solaris and Adelman Peony Gardens to add a couple more. Liz, I also want them all!!! Smiling

Mary, I will never abandon Solaris Farms! Nate will always have something new and exciting.
But, I did it again. Liz, you had to mention Klehms. Here it is: Angelet, Chore and Perfection (from Bill Seidl's collections) tree peonies and Puffed Cotton herbaceous. Drooling

I'm getting puffed cotton! Don't know why it appeals so much, it is a white double and I'm not normally so drawn.... didn't even look at the trees. Ordered a gift certificate to save the 10% so won't put my order in until that hits my email. Did you notice Pink Venus? Thats been on my list for a couple of years.....

Liz, I like Puffed Cotton for the salmon highlights. Pink Venus is very nice 👍. I need to find Cactus Jack!

I see Hidden Springs has the single fern leaf for $39.99 and the double for $54.99. Anyone having either of these should not be afraid to dig and divide them to create a special garden for them. Just follow instructions for creating the bed or rock garden. Full sun, exceptional drainage, and very little water with none after they go dormant.

Selective and picky: the name of the game here. With limited space, what comes in here has to be well worth the space it takes up. And if it doesn't live up to the expectations, out it goes making room for something that will. Smiling

The expense of phytosanitary certificates, shipping and the exchange on the money keep me to Canadian suppliers.
But I see the Peony Shop in Holland has their list up for 2017.
The prices for some of the Itohs is better than here.
And theirs are NOT from tissue culture.

You are right Tracey. The first ones to go for me would be the floppy ones if they don't have any other redeeming qualities. Hate to see peonies on the ground all messed up from the rain esp. after a year of waiting for them to bloom.

I have tenuifolia plena rosea coming this all so thanks for advice Jerry. Also some early species with interesting parents rarely available.

I got an email from Peony Shop in Holland. My heavens. They have a couple that are over $500! And several over $200. I still wish we could figure out how to place a group order. It would be a pain and complicated but the prices on their itoh's and some of the nicer herbaceous are really great. And the roots are really good also judging by what I got for the botanical garden last fall.

I still intend to to look at Solaris come midnight the 31st. You got me hooked. I keep looking over their online site for plants from last year just to try to get prepared to jump fast. I am severely limited on space with six (I think) coming this fall. So glad we went to the effort to joint the two front beds last fall. Gained me around 4x32' of ground. But then I decided to put plants there from the backyard that would give me some variation from dahlias and peonies. Loaded lots of lilies, but also columbine, iris, hosta, a few small bushes and one short round little evergreen at the back. I left the middle open for dahlias and future peonies. And of course CHICKWEED!!!!!
