Thank you herbie & Dan.
Dan, can you tell me about the size of the plant, is it a big agressive grower?
What about Mortgage Lifter plant size. I grow mine in the ground. Having an idea of plant growth helps me decide where to plant them. Here is a picture of one Matt's Wild Cherry plant. 4 x 8 raised bed and it grew over 9 ft tall. Had to keep pruning it to keep it from taking over the neighboring beds. I only need one of these. : ) It is still producing when all other tomato plants have died from frost or just wore out.

I grow in raised beds too. In this photo the Black Cherry is about 6' tall in a 5' cage. It got about another foot taller before it was done.

Dan, that is great information. I now know just where I will grow the Black Cherry. : ) I am growing 7 kinds of cherry tomatoes for different flavors and colors for table use. The grandkids love them.

'Black Cherry' My favorite cherry ever
'Black Sea Man' med. size taste is OK, not my favorite black
'Brandywine (Suddeth) again, OK.
'Giant Belgium' great tomato with good flavor

'Green Grape' nice bitey flavor, but not overly so, I didn't think.

'Mexico' good taste, nice color
'Mortgage Lifter' I grow this one every year... good flavor, nice color

'Purple Russian' LOVE this one, a favorite great taste, and love the color...
'Super Snow White' didn't impress me... lots of yellows I liked better.

that is our favorite also. i have never tasted a sweeter tomato in my life. last year i had to plant an extra one because my neighbor's little boy tasted one and every time they passed the house he asked his mom to stop by so he cold get some from my garden.
he came over so often that the next year i planted one just for him with his name on it. he got a knick out of it.

hi there
just checking this tomato thread looking good :))

vlynn
ive grown these from your list
black sea man..one year they were great the next year not so great..soft tomatoes last year and so-so
gold nugget..they are early cherries..so you probably would have these to eat before the others and they are ok
are they popping up yet in your milk containers?

my favorite cherry is sungold..but my dh says they are too sweet. they crack so easily and i cannot pick them until they are ready to be eaten. it would be nice to find something similar and crack resistant. anyone know of one?

Hi Pam Sue. The tomato babies have started to appear. Marion, Black Cherry, Green Grape, Mexico, Bi-Color, Black Sea Man and Gold Nugget have popped little heads up. : ) Eleven more varieties to go.
Matt's doesn't crack, but they are a small cherry. Nothing seems to bother them. Flavor and texture is always good. Eat them when orange turning red they have lots of bold flavor. Eat them when red and they are very sweet.

I'm trying the new Super Sweet 100's this year. I've always enjoyed the regular Sweet 100's so I thought it would be interesting to see if the new version is noticeably better. A couple of years ago I thought I was buying Sun Golds but when the seeds arrived they had miraculously morphed into Sun Sugar. They didn't do to well last year so I'm giving them another chance. But when I buy seeds again I'm going to to get Sun Golds.
