Susie...are you serious????!!!!! How cool would that be!!!! I have to say, I would rather be here in a (food, economic etc. ) crisis than anywhere!!! There are friends I trade food with (vegies/fruit for goat milk, chicken, bread, organic eggs etc.) ... the aloha spirit IS alive and well. Amazing how much better this climate is on my health!!! Lovey dubby

Oh I know all you say is true! What a wonderful life. House isn't for sale just yet but someday, maybe! I'll probably come for a two week visit to the Mauian at Napili on Maui within the year, however.

Love all your gardens. It's all you and just what I imagined!

The worst problem used to be when there was talk of a dock strike and people would immediately start hoarding toilet paper...lol...other than that, you'd never starve there...

I already hoard toilet paper. Costco made me do it!
Carol, I will come visit you for a couple of days!! I've been to Oahu, Kauai and Maui (9 times) but never Hawaii. My friends used to stay at Kona Village and loved it. Is that anywhere your place? I know it's $$$ and not my style, per se, but could be fun for a few nights in addition. I like rustic.

Where I live on the E. side is 'rustic'...Kona side is plastic and glitz - but it rains MUCH less and has white sand beaches. DO come! Just let me know.

OMG...rumors of dockstrikes send the masses for TP and rice! We always have a large supply of TP...can't be too cocky!!!! Whistling

And it IS a work I love. I try to avoid it....but then it is so rewarding. I have a great partner...and once I got over the fact that NOTHING would EVER be as PERFECT as I WANTED, life got alot easier!!!! Big Grin
