Dave, the time saving auto fill in feature doesn't seem to function anylonger when filling in the text fields when submitting pictures in the database..Could this be fixed?

I haven't uploaded a photo recently so I haven't seen this. I will do some testing and will fix this, but it'll be a couple days before the fix can go in since I have a freeze on any new development until the server is moved.

The move should happen tomorrow.

I'm not surprised that it is working, actually. I was expecting to find that to be the case.

The auto fill details come in from the image itself, which stores all that information in what is called "Exif data". But if the information is missing from the image, then ATP can't find it. Some cameras and some software packages will remove the Exif data. It's likely that if you have the autofilled area empty after uploading an image, then that means the image itself was missing the info.

I think I have not been very clear Dave, I actually wanted to refer to the text fields like for the location and the caption where the autocomplete didn't function for a day, the next day it all worked fine again. The autofill for the date of the picture did work then, (though I had it a couple of times it showed the wron date and I had to correct it)
but this is no longer an issue as it all works just fine now, just extra speedy! Thumbs up

Well then I'm perplexed about what was going on, but I'm glad that the matter is resolved, whatever was causing it! Thumbs up

Drop down menus aren't working for me this morning.

Working in details, and when I click on the down arrow, it doesn't allow me to choose - such as - plant hardiness, ploidy, foliage type, etc...

That's not something that I control, actually. The dropdown menus is a function of your browser. On my side, I simply give a list of choices to your browser and tell it to make them a dropdown, and the browser handles the details.

I'm at a complete loss as to why it stopped working for you and then started up again. Confused

Me too Dave....

I rebooted, did everything I could think of and nothing worked....

and since my only attribute is stubborn Whistling I just kept trying and it worked. Oddly, I had already done details before that this morning, it wasn't my first one.

Weird, huh?

Your browser updated to Firefox 8 this morning, actually. I'm looking at the logs and you were using Firefox 7.0.1 all the way until around 5:30am EST this morning. Then about an hour later you returned and you were using Firefox 8.

I bet what happened is that your Firefox got messed up during an update and once the update was complete then it was working again. That was a buggy upgrade for Firefox and shame on them. Sad

You win the barbwire bathtub Hurray! Hurray! Rolling on the floor laughing (that's an old saying from my father)

Yes, it did update when I rebooted - in fact, I was in the database when it popped up and told me it had an update and I ignored it thinking I would update later...guess it had the last word, huh?

And here I thought computer was telling me to go clean bathrooms instead of playing in the database Big Grin

Big Grin Big Grin I wasn't expecting we'd get to the bottom of what happened here. I will graciously accept the barbwire bathtub. Smiling
