Hi all. We have a greenhouse this year that runs between 80-100 degrees daily. We have several tomato plants inside, in the ground. I was wondering if it is okay to mist them a few times a day ?
I also had a little problem - on my largest plant, with several small green tomatoes, a few of the tomatoes seemed to 'rot' on the bottom half ? Do you think this could be from cold ? It has been getting down in the 50's in there some nights..

That rot on the bottoms of some tomatoes is called blossom end rot. It is usually caused by uneven watering. The actual cause is related to calcium, but it is normally the result of inability to absorb the calcium, not a shortage. You can normally pull the affected early fruit off and later fruit will be find.

David - thanks for your response ! We are having a hard time figuring out how much to water in the new greenhouse. We're afraid to overwater and kill them ! I think that's probably just the problem we're having.
