Mona your weather does get colder than I thought. I guess when they say S. we all figure it never gets to freezing. 30 days at 100 I have seen even here but not the last 3 years. We had a drought for several years and Hot Dry summers. Now it is going the other way, cool and wet. Go figure.

I've also just purchased a few newer ones from Fred and James Hall through the Lily Auction too -- and four or five of them are 2011 introductions. They both have some up for auction right now: Fred Manning is Spunky1 and James Hall is Mljomo. And I don't know if Michele has posted more since last night, but we all know her as Tink

Anyone looking for a treat should browse -- some real beauties there, such eye candy!

Ummm.... hate to put on the moderator hat ....

but we are getting a bit off the topic of Frank Smith 2012 intros. May I suggest that we move this line of general daylily & auction talk to the Fall 2011 to Winter 2012 - Blooms & Daylily Chat

Green Grin! I already broke off the lyle seedling thread from this one.... Whistling

I try to think about the new people coming in to the forum in the future, so that threads are "pretty much" on topic with the thread title. Most threads stray a little bit, that is understandable.

Gosh, I feel like the mean step mother! *Blush*

perhaps it would be good for one of you to start a thread to talk about things on the Lily Auction. Who is selling what and so on. The Lily Auction topic comes up often!

Thanks!

Aw shucks, OK Mom! Hilarious! I can start one, but I don't think I can move these posts. Can you move them? Can I just start one titled something like "Lily Auction Daylilies and Vendors" and then you could move these posts over there?

BARBARA BURKHART Smith 2012 is mentioned a few times here and in the site. But I cannot find it in the ATP database or AHS. Is it actually registered?

Glen, once you learn a few search tricks it's not that hard. Some names have weird spelling that get misspelled on many occasions. Like Fred said you can try first or last name. You might have to scroll thru more pages but you will eventually get there. ATP pics.

In the AHS data base it is spelled Berkheart but if you go to Pete Harry's site it is spelled 2 different ways. He spells it Berkheart on the photo and if you click on the photo he spells it Burkhart in the description. When Pte lists parentage of other intros with BB in it he spells it Burkhart.

I've always listed it as Burkhart because that is how it was spelled by Pete Harry when I copy/paste the description.
