You can now select "Cone" as an image type in the gallery. This was needed for the conifers.

I know I have posted pictures of bulbs and looked for Bulb to check off but there is no such thing so I always just put roots. But I think there really should be a bulb option. Never had a pine cone to post!

I've seen many photos of emerging growth of perennials in the database. Some members choose the "Entire plant" gallery while others choose "Seedlings (newly germinated plants)". Neither is really appropriate. I think we should add a gallery to address these photos.

I'm referring to photos like this; as opposed to new branches or leaves on a shrub.

I'm not sure what to name it though. Emerging growth? Does anyone have any ideas?

Awesome suggestion Evan. That will be very useful in our database on a search. Or can we search photos for entry content?

At the moment we don't really have a specific search for the photos like that. One day we might!

I like the emerging growth designation. Submitted a hosta photo and had to just pick one. But next time... Thumbs up Thumbs up

@lovemyhouse
If you open your photo, you can edit the caption, gallery etc. Debra. Select » Edit this image's caption, details, etc. under Actions at the bottom of the page. I did this one for you. Nice photo!

I've submitted quite a few emerging photos, and have been inconsistent in what I pick for the category. I will make a good effort (on a rainy day) to go back and edit them to reflect the new category. Good suggestion Evan - and thanks for the prompt response, Dave!

@Dave
Another that would be wonderful if it were added is 'Scape'. As in daylily or hosta scape. Can't remember now what I chose instead, but I've run into this many times, and have wished we had that option.
