Hi Janet...probably not the right place, but I have a bug for you this time instead of a plant

Saw this grasshopper in the GH this morning...first I've seen that looks like this one. Any idea what I should name it? other then "Get out of my GH and don't eat the plants"

Come spring I'm sure it will be fat and sassy

Each cloud has a silver lineing if only you look for it.

Well I guess the bug is on a plant? I might be able to ID the bug but not the plant.

Bird Grasshopper - Schistocerca obscura looks the best shot.. (yours is missing a hind leg on the visible side)

LOL...yes it is on my Golden Chalace. Hadn't noticed the missing leg. Just went out to look and I guess it has moved to another "cafe"
