Just wishing ,no real comitment yet for my gardens.Who knows what I will end up with.
Mine are mostly asiatics and LA's for 2012. I am creating a garden under fir trees so the lilies need to be short.
This is a bad panorama but gives some idea as to whats going where. I am recieving a bunch of giant hostas in spring and thought it would be nice to combine them with lilies and astilbes.

I have to wait until I see what the latest offerings are from my favorite sellers/growers. It's getting to the point where I may have to dig again *Blush* Gosh and I keep hoping one of these years to have hybridized something great that will make it on a wish list of somebodys somewhere Smiling Now that would be fun too.

I will come back when I am wishing....

Wow, Jo Ann, after thinking about your question, I realized that I have some pretty expensive tastes, LOL! Of course, I would love to see updated catalogues, but right now I would want:

Lilium pardalinum
Lilium martagon and several cultivars and hybrids of L. martagon
Pink Jazz (sadly not currently available anywhere but this is one I must have in the future)
Boogie Woogie (I hate the name but it looks like a beautiful cream lily)

And now from The Lily Garden:

Iona
Angela North
Beguiling
Iowa Rose
White Butterflies
Ice Caves
Elise
Grandiose
Opulent
Allegretto
Sizzle
Pizzazz
Wassail

Of course, I will never be able to afford all of these, I must must whittle it down and choose the cream of the crop. Until the next catalogues come out which will make me want to rework my lists entirely! Big Grin

Big Brother is gorgeous! On my wish list, too.

Corey! Great list. I don't have most of the ones on your wish list, but I must tell you I 'caved' in and got Ice Caves. Now it's gone down in price, which is great. It's a strain, so I don't know if they will all be as nice as mine, but it was definitely one of my best lilies last year. Also from your list I have Elise and Opulent, and they are both winners.

Polly, so glad to hear that Ice Caves, Elise and Opulent are winners. I didn't know that Ice Caves was a strain but I do like subtle variation between plants since it keeps things interesting in the garden. I love the combination of the white with accents of pale green. So pretty!

For some reason and I can't access the sales lists at Faraway Flowers to check out Big Brother to see what it looks like. Maybe that is a good thing of snow since I will probably end up wanting to buy it! Big Grin

I would like to encourage everyone to start using the lily database. There you will see that I have included information such as whether a lily is sold as a strain. In the case of Ice Caves you will also see that it is a tetraploid.

Yes, please, everyone start using the database. Pard has done a lot of wonderful work on it. And pretty much all by herself for the moment. I've been working hard on the irises, and Mags has been working hard on her lilies, so hopefully we can help more this winter. But for the present, it's pretty much all Pard, and she's doing wonderfully.

Ha, Corey, I knew that one would get you.

The database is really important. As a newbie 4 years ago I wore out my fingers in Plant Files on another site.

The Faraway Flowers site is down for maintenance.
Don't worry. It'll be back up soon, I'm sure.

Yeah, Lefty I am sure you are right. Ramona is probably adding all sorts of great lilies to her spring list as we speak (or type). Her list is among the best for spring wishes and great list making!
