I started looking but soon went cross-eyed. This fern lives by the house and climbs up the side, in other plants there and all over/in the AC unit. It is VERY determined to live there.

I imagine it might be a different story now Ginger, those articles are from 2003 and 2006.

It looks to have already got a good hold in a large area! Wow, it can grow to 90 feet! Blinking

Brain fart moment here...didn't pay attention to the dates Rolling my eyes. I did call our county extension in Bay Co. this morning...waiting on a call back likely tomorrow. Be interesting to see what they have to say.

Even though I closed this thread I had to post that I DID get a call today about this. It has become a problem in this (and other) part/s of Florida. For me not really as I keep pulling and cutting. I directed the caller to ATP (a master gardener volunteer for the state) to look at the pictures I had added to the DB. She "said" she would look. Will be interesting to see if I hear back again. In any case I was impressed that I actually got a call back after 3+ weeks...restores my faith in the "system" somewhat.

That's great Ginger! I guess they like to monitor it's spread to see how much it's increasing, or if it's decreasing which I doubt.
