I got this plant at a swap and was told only that it was "violet shrub". No picture of an open bloom, but they look exactly like a purple violet. In spring/summer the leaves are all green, but are now showing a bit of fall color. When I looked it up nothing I saw quite fit. The first pic is of a bud...it dropped before opening.





Each cloud has a silver lineing if only you look for it.

Thanks Janet. You beat me to the punch Hilarious! I was gonna submit after a possitive ID. Sure hope it survives the winter...need to get a cutting in case.

Lol, sorry Ginger! I hadn't noticed the link to do this at the bottom of the pop up photo was there, the question to add the facility to the ID forum was asked so I was itching to try it. Big Grin

Thought I would add I usualy open the photos in a new window so I can compare them, so probably missed the link by doing that. Great feature, Dave is full of tricks!
