Shall do! I'm wondering if it may work on some trumpet types too as both sulphureum and another trumpet species I can't remember at the moment both produce leaf axil bulblets.

I read that article also, but never saw where they posted any results. I remember watching it for awhile. I think it was someone's blog.

Probably L. sulphureum and L. sargentiae that you're thinking of, Bearsearch. Of course, other lilies have bulbils, that you might give a try:

I once had some stem cuttings of L. primulinum root at the nodes, but new bulblets were never produced.

That was a blog and in a follow up blog there were pictures of the bulblets still attached to the leaf.

Brian,
Under the Fair Use Provision, you're probably okay, except that:
1) there should be a mention that you are copying under the Fair Use Provision, and
2) you should be including a URL linking the photo back to its source.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F...

May I suggest that you be the first to set an example, and edit your post to reflect same. It would be nice to help keep the owners of this site out of legal limbo.

And lets just be clear, the Fair Use Provision is not a blanket exception to copyright in all cases.

The safest method is to just post the link.

I had already posted the website on the first page of this thread on the entry where I had quoted Pardalinum on ways to propagate lilies.
I don't know how to post it so you can just click on it to take you right to it. I've tried all the ways I know and it just comes up black. But here it is again,in black.
I suppose others can copy and post to their web browser.

Ive been keeping a close eye on 'Silk Road'....... An aurelien, ''gold eagle x moonlight belle'' and a Phil Mego aurelien x,.,.They are Massive bulbs [or were], but over the last 5 years, i am struggling to judge what the next division will be..for instance, the gold eagle x moonlight belle this year, had a central stem [6ft] with no floret, with 2 smaller stems with a floret of 3 ,,yet last year, the cenntral stem had a floret of 9,.,.anyway, i'll keep watching,.,.Im doing experiments with 10 'longiflorum'-supposedly ''SUPERHUGE" blooms, but we will see, and so far i have, a few interesting facts to report..but we will wait until they bloom....The other thing is , I will have some l.Flaviflorum x Fiesta hybrid seeds this year[soon] should anybody be interested[plus a heap of pendant asiatic crosses from all good names, crossed mainly with fiesta hybrids as the pollen donor],..,Show is in 5 days!![nervous yes]---But it 'WILL' be a great show Thumbs up

Brian, your enthusiasm for lilies is obvious Hurray! , and thanks for your efforts regarding copyright infringement. Sometimes when someone is new to a forum we (I) forget that they might not know all the ins and outs. Sorry about that.

The reason why the first time you posted a link and it didn't "work" is that you did not leave a space between the period of the last sentence you wrote and the URL. Nevertheless, making available the URL as a clickable link or just as an address to copy and paste is sufficient for the legal matter.

However, I don't think the posting of the URL on a different entry suffices for additional postings later on. One should post the originating URL with each use. And don't forget the mention of the Fair Use Provision (each time). Something like "I copy this in accordance with the Fair Use Provision of Copyright law.".

Only you (or the moderators of this forum) can edit your post by clicking the blue "Edit" at the bottom of your post. Smiling

When I purchased Sky Scraper it came with four noses on it, hence, four stems. It is a sign that the bulb is dividing. I believe Sky Scraper tends to behave this way while many other lilies tend to never divide.

Any manure you use should be very well composted.
