of course this year Santa & sleigh will not be flying over the yard now that we are loosing the tree from the storm.. but we will find a good home for them!!

we would appreciate anyone who has a few mins to vote for us on tacky light tour.. the site can be slow at times.. you have to create a user name and then click this link.. under each category if you click the drop down box .. and I usually just keep clicking the "3" key.. until our address pops up 36 Warren Trail then click nominate .. I know it's not a quick process but we do appreciate any votes

Yeppers! Big Grin Voted all stars (5) and plan on voting more for ya (I'll have to take a break from all the work on the database, here and there). Since ya got give a review before voting 5 stars, I've been running out of great things to say. Might have to start repeating myself. *Blush* Blinking Whistling

Seen about 7 houses or so with their lights on already. Couldn't they wait just 1 more week?

We've seen people in our subdivision put up decorations a couple of weeks ago. Blinking

I've heard Christmas music in the stores for a couple of weeks now. Blinking

It's bad enough that Hallmark has their new Christmas ornaments in mid July every year. Blinking

One reason for putting up Christmas lights early is the warmer weather. However they don't have to turn them on.

Everyone did. It got up to 58° today, and tonight there are Christmas lights all up and down the road!

Last year we had a warm Thanksgiving weekend too and the smart folks took advantage, the rest of the winter came in fast and was much, much colder and nastier than 'normal'.

I was out getting cars ready and cleaning lawn furniture for final 'put away' (tomorrow) and lost the daylight...no Christmas stuff out yet.

no we didn't spend it yet.. but I am sure it will be soon.. we have all the deers assembled inside and plan on spending all day out there putting stuff out.. we have to do a bunch of fixing of frame work & dead deer motors from the 4 foot of snow sitting on top of them.. glad to see all the led lights I put on them last year made it through the storms

We just have had blue lights up one tree, but I think we will stop as it is getting more difficult for DH to put them up.

That's right! Allison...it was you that had that dead deer in the yard last spring wasn't it? Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious!

Lucy, that's the same reason I don't put much up anymore, it is a lot of work to do alone. I used to put a large decorated tree on the front porch every year that I could enjoy from the picture window, then surround all of the windows with lights, but now I just put a small one inside on the table and put lights in that window so it can be seen from outside. That's enough un boxing and climbing and put-away for these bones.

I love to 'watch in' on Allison and how much thery enjoy it while they can! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

yes lots of dead deer on the lawn last year... and the drunk one upside down in the air (which we can't do this year).. the storms really took a toll on some of the deer frames.. we tried to find the first deer we bought .. it stood strong with no bending.. and of course it's not for sale anymore.. the same company sells to K-Mart the new deer are $40.00 and the same quality as the ones we bought for $10.00 at the christmas tree store... just something else they don't make like they used to.. Randy has been saying for years we should buy a welder and make them ourselves.. these cheap things just do not last
