Boy what a site for sore eyes. Can't wait till I can do that. but I do have a very thick skin. I was in a supervisory roll my past 20 years before retirement. Some of your best friends will always talk about you behind your back and it will always come to your attention. I know people are very good natured and most comments are not meant to be mean. That said, I have an excuse for being brain dead. I was a electrician and got hit many times by voltages as high as 500 volts ac. and many times 250 volts dc. I think that can explain a lot. Hey, I live in the middle of over 30 acres of thick woods, so I thought I'd try sunbathing in the au naturel when we first moved here. After a while, I noticed this small plane kept passing overhead...I forgot there was a private airport just across the river.

What if Google maps was able to zoom in on your back yard?? I bet the person looking would say, Wow you wouldn't believe what I just saw!!

Ha! It was probably one small plane pilot selling 1/2 hour rides!!!!

Now, that's a scary thought...

I'm horrible, especially in places like this, where to me it is casual, and informal. I spell things wrong, use them in the wrong sentences, etc. It's not past me to put the number 'two' in a sentence, where I should have put 'too'. Or now instead of know, either because I didn't hit the key hard enough, or just didn't pay enough attention.

It is when I have to do something inside the four walls of my office, that I am pathetically careful, and it takes more time to cross all the t's and dot all the i's. I know there have been some mail list and forums where I have really ticked people of because of my spelling and/or wrong use of words. I apologize profusely. It is just not that important to me, when I am among friends.

Coming from someone like me who is much worse than anyone. Who cares. If someone doesn't like the way I make a small mistake so what!! You are right to believe that it just doesn't matter that much to correct someone or to make a big deal out of it. If that correction should make a big difference then I would welcome it. By the way, It doesn't brother me anyway. I know the people in this forum means well and no harm in anyway.
I have been typing in EXCEL spreadsheet them pasting into this post. Helps. I don't want to use a grammar checker (which I need) because it changes the way I want to communicate an idea.

I don't think it is a big deal either. I typo all the time myself (like I said, 'black keyboard syndrome'), I only brought it up because the meaning (of fish meditating) was so darn cute.

The one thing that REALLY bothers me grammatically is the incredible misuse of the word 'there' (mixed up with 'their' or 'they're') and that is only a reflection on our education system (and the difficulty of this language).

"They're going there to pick up their fish."


Oh...and the (NON)word: "irregardless"!

LOL-- cute picture! I do well most of the time in typing/writing, it's the speaking that gets me in trouble. I skip words or reverse them sometimes. It's always an adventure when you're drain bamaged.

I admit to being a word freak, but I try to restrain myself because, like Alan said, we're among friends and as long as we are, who cares.
