Every year I buy a packet of blue picotee and red picotee morning glories and every year they produce something different, and never anything like what the packet image shows.

This year I got some interesting split flowers that I think I've seen in a catalog somewhere. Do these look familiar? Or are they just mutt morning glories?

They look like Japanese Double Morning Glories. There is a pink form called Split Second. These look split and double. Very nice, Tabby!

Out of curiosity...do you buy seeds from the same company each year? Or is this to be expected from different seed companies also? I'm wondering if this is more of the same lack of care and intregrity that puts the wrong labels on all types of plants....lol..
I have the Perennial / Blue Dawn MG, but have been thinking of growing different types of MG's and I'd like to think that the seeds I buy are what they're supposed to be. In any case,I think you came out ahead there, because those are beautiful.

These were from Livingston Seed Co. blue picotee and red picotee. I've bought these for 3 or 4 years now and they're always different.
One year they looked like this:

The deep purple blue one looks the spitting image of Ipomoea purpurea Japanese Hige Feathered Purple ..

Very rare! Maybe you should contact Ron to se what he says.

The pink one isn't so different to Akahigezaki Sunrise Serenade from the same seller..

I don't think I would complain too much. Hilarious!

Sorry, but I didn't save seeds. The dead vines have already been removed and disposed of.
I wasn't all that interested in growing them again.
