Anjl wanted a tutorial on my mini fish pond. So let's make a pool.
What color water do you wish? This is Pacific blue and Translucent. Love Translucent , it is soft and makes the drier clayers stick to each other. so we mix them together to Condition the clay. I usually run it thru my clay machine, then put it all together and further condition in my hands. It may take a little lonfer but you will love the results. Then run it thru the machine the thickness you want.

You need to form the water then make your foundation wall around it. I usually use thin strips. I use 3 layers.

Thumb of 2011-11-22/Ridesredmule/52b9c8I flatten and blend the eges together. All three rounds.
Form the edge with my finger then put the little indentation for the "bricks " or you can do freefrom rocks. (another Lesson)

Let's add a little water lily. These are very simple. I made two round lily pads, the larges is about an inch.
then I have a little flower stamp cutout, formed it to the shape I like.,

in the center of the lily I take little tiny yellow bits of clay for the center. Teeny, tiny balls of clay.

Now on to the fish.
Thumb of 2011-11-22/Ridesredmule/3321b6 I mixed red, onto orange and also added a black strip. Put into machine or condition til you get the right colors.

Make a small teardrop for the body. Roll out a length of clay and indent the ends for the fins.

She crafts 24/7, add another hour (her lunch break) and that makes 25 hours in her day. Isn't she the lucky one!

Charlene, have you ever thought about making the edge of your pool deeper and filling it over the top of the fish with clear resin? That might be cool looking. (Well, not sure your little ponds could get any cooler, but it would be different.) Smiling
