My S. Aspen finally opened it's first flower yesterday, and what a process! It's very slow to open, and it was almost painful to watch! LOL! Lots of ragged edge, but it's not a particularly pretty flower. Growth habit isn't especially nice. I think alot of people look for it because it's so rare. Edited to add: There doesn't seem to be any pollen, but I brused pollen from Thor-Line onto it just to see if it would take. I doubt that it will.
