When crowded and given only part-full sun it spread modestly in my Zn 5 garden. When given more room and sun it spread MUCH FASTER. I can see how this plant could become invasive, spreading by runner.
I totally agree, this plant can pop up all over the garden without warning. However it can also make some surprisingly good combinations with other plants. Just pull out the plants in the wrong plants, they are easily removed.
