Had this plant for many years and always comes back. I don't have luck with Iris. Grows one or two years then root rot. These wild yellow ones always did great. I hear there is a blue type almost like it. If so I would love to have a peice.

There are lots of nice blue pallidas, which seems to be the type you might have. It is a historic iris.

Pallida is very hardy, you almost can't kill it. It smells like grape kool aid.

Species Iris (Iris pallida)

This is the plain green leaved one. It also comes with a variegated leaf.

I have the plain green leaved one. If you want some in the spring, just give me a holler. I'd be glad to share, have lots of it.

If you look at the Superstition site you will find named pallidas also, like Beatrice.
