Alan, did you ever make it up to Baker's?

Yep, that would be her :)

Nope, never made it to Bakers, not yet...holidays were just too busy, lots of company from out of town, preparing a big dinner, etc.. My next vacation is December 16-26, no company then. I'll check it out then!

No, Lin - you read it right. But sticky-to-the-wall, just not sticky-to-the-touch, lol. Clear as mud?

I have a hoya that I got at Home Depot, watered it according to instructions. So basically drowned it. Have moved it near a heater vent away from heater vent. Moved it for East to west windows. It is slowly dying off. HELP !!!! Grumbling I like unusual looking plants don't want to lose this one. Picked up perlite and Miracle Gro moisture control potting soil. It seemed like by the time the soil at the bottom dried a little I would lose 2 or 3 branches.

Any help will be appreciated. We just had new windows put in, but keep it about 69 degrees during the day.

Thank you for any and all help Confused

I also used to have Hindu Rope but i can' get rid of the mites&scales so i throw it out. Home Depot here always have hindu rope plants.

Now, i just bought Hoya preatorii , archboldiana x onychoides, pink marbe, superba, iron range, archboldiana red, nisbet river, mt. tozar, mac vetei, and mac acuta pink.

The preatorii has small umbrell so i am hoping they'd stay. My lasiantha also is growing very slowly.

I have all of them in my patio w/c gets morning sun. I will post picture later.

@mrsbart I can't offer much advice except to take cuttings and try rooting them. I have only bought the plant in this post and carnosa from HD/Lowes, but I've lost almost all of them. I was told that the soil used becomes water logged and the plants don't adapt to proper mixes or being drier. They eventually die of root rot and it can take month. I'm seeing that with my current carnosa.

I agree, if the roots are dark and weak and there are few of them, they have already rotted. If so, I would turn them into cuttings and reroot and you will get fresh new roots. If you are not sure what the roots should look like, post a pic. I lost my first plant years ago, to not repotting in gritty soil.
