What a wonderful bird to have in your yard. I´m glad the owl came back and I hope he stays. Do you know what kind it is?

Hi Magga, glad you enjoyed the photos. We believe he is an Eastern Screech Owl. We don't see owls in town here so I am very excited to have him around. Not sure if he actually lives in our tree or if he has a nest nearby. Maridell

Pretty. I especially love the Screech Owls. We used to have one who came at night & took a bath in our bird bath. That was a new one for us.

I've never seen an owl take a bath, cool!

We just happened to notice one night when we are on the back porch. Course it was NIGHT --- how much can you see? BUT --- a few years prior I had given the dh a night scope for Xmas sooooo we were able to see him quite well using that. What was really cool too was that we could hear him/her??? screeching which sounds a lot like someone trying to do scary sounds for Halloween -- not really a screech.

it's the second sound you hear on there --- soooo funny! Like a bad imitation of a witch sound.
