That's a difficult call! Hilarious!

Check out some of the red ones on this grower's site.. then look at the third one where it says "Guzmania Marjan, Ostara, Rana & Vr. Splenreit"

Guzmania Rana seems to fit both in flower and leaf.

Thanks, Janet. I thought yesterday that it might be 'Rana' but just wasn't sure. I'm going to go check out your links.

It's a match for the picture of 'Rana' with Fall coloration on the Morning Dew Tropicals site. Hurray! I tip my hat to you.

That's what was stumping me about whether it was 'Rana' ... some of the photos didn't show much, if any, yellow on the stem. But it appears to be more of a seasonal coloration and more pronounced at different times of the year. Thanks again, Janet. Much appreciated.

They probably are named cultivars Paul, check them out at this grower's site.. but it might be very difficult to say which they are.

They probably are named cultivars. Not the same cultivars but the first three are Guzmanias, the fourth picture is a Vriesea, and the fifth I can't see enough of the plant to tell. The last one could be a couple of different Bromeliads but the flower is what makes for a positive ID. It's probably a Vriesea too but might be Aechmea or one of the others. Love the striped foilage on that one. Lovey dubby
