Seeds from Plumeria obtusa 'Singapore' are scarcer than hen's teeth... I'll keep you posted.

I do have seeds from a variety that is 'a' obtusa from Marathon in the Florida Keys. That particular plumeria sets seeds like nothing else I've ever seen. Let me know if you'd like to try some.

The leaves are 'obtuse' - but not as deep green or as leathery as the P. obtusa 'Singapore' we are all used to seeing.
These seeds have now all gone to Luc but he will have some to share, I am sure if you ask nicely. Smiling
Check on the Florida Colors website for pictures of a Plumeria obtusa 'Costa Rica' and a P. obtusa 'Yucatan' - this tree, according to Luc, is closer to those ones.

Whats the germination rate on those?
I understand SCP seeds are very difficult to germinate.
Thanks I tip my hat to you.

HMMmmmm.... now why would Luc be sprouting hundreds of them?
A new grafting base for Dwarf Orange Perhaps?
BTW Hetty, My dwarf orange has 12 inches new growth on 2 tips.
Easily recovering my losses when I cut so much to try grafting her.
Luc said there is only 1 thats harder to graft, Dr. Richard Criley.
When he gets the magic rootstock for the orange he promised to keep me in the loop. Hurray!

They are species plants, there is a demand for them.

Glad to hear that Dwarf Orange is doing well!!

phew! okay, so they are not being used for grafting stock. lol

the P. obtusa 'Costa Rica' looks very desirable for its shortness.

hetty, do you P. obtusa 'Costa Rica' and P. obtusa 'Yucatan'?

Dete, I don't own either one, but I intend to remedy that. Luc donated some of the species plants to the Naples Botanical Garden recently and they impressed me, so I'll probably acquire both of these in the near future.
