Gloria, the last time, a couple of weeks ago, a whole bunch of forums got spammed the same way. I don't know if only the Orchid forum was singled out this time, or if Dave had already deleted the junk in other forums, or the Spammer was just starting.
Anyway, I learned how to delete the numerous posts in one swoop /thread, so I will try to stay on top of it. Dave has banned the Spammer.
Not a problem!! Smiling

My question is - what does the Spammer get out of this besides trying to annoy us? It is totally stupid gibberish anyway!

I'll try to sneak some posts between the spam activity. Blc Goldenzelle 'Frank Smith' is now 6 and a half inches across.

Epic. Volcano Trick 'Fireball' is now fully open. It lives up to its name.

I was wondering about in the Vanda section of one of the local grower greenhouses. Four foot long roots were bouncing off of my head as I looked for name tags. Then I noticed something was awry. One plant had the roots but the leaf structure was all wrong. When I red the tag, it said "Slc. India Rose Sherwood". I had never before seen a Catt with over four feet of dangling roots. This big boy wasn't cheap but it had to come home with me. I have it hanging here in Vanda row just to show how it stacks up with my big Vandas. The grower told me that almost any Catt will grow roots like this if it is mounted and properly cared for. I am really leaning toward mounting more and more of my orchids. It is the one in the center of the picture with the red flowers. I also took some pics of the fragrant flowers.

Somehow I managed to buy two Bc. Maikai orchids. The first one is 'Louise' AM/AOS and the second is 'Spotted Star' It's interesting to see them together.

Gorgeous!! Lovey dubby beautiful Goldenzelle!
I adore the Slc. India Rose Sherwood. Looking at the parentage
http://apps.rhs.org.uk/horticu...
one of the parents is C. Chocolate Drop. In my hands C Chocolate Drop likes to grow really long roots, although not as impressive as those on yours. Surely the blooms are also deliciously scented, (as you mentioned).
I love the markings on the Epic. Volcano Trick 'Fireball' and the Bc Maikai are also very nice!!

Not quite, since I don't run a nursery in Florida Smiling , but how about these?
The first one is Blc Copper Queen, the next Blc Dennis Kone ( one of the parents is C. Chocolate Drop) and the third plant is C. Chocolate Drop 'Kodama'. If you allow them to crawl out of their 'shoes' they will grow long roots. And then there is the Schomburgkia superbiens on a branch ( I have in the meanwhile split the plant and now grow it bare root in a clay pot for more manageability. I have an alba Schomburgkia superbiens starting to grow roots like that too. ( have to take a picture of that one.)
