Thanks everyone, I sure hope it blooms and looks just like this, he said it had not arrived yet so he doesn't know how big it is, it's supposed to be 3 years old,

that a great size boy your son knows how to pic them (or did he have help) it is gonna make a GREAT addition to your great collection already but something tells me its not going to be one that is hidden in the back corner!!lol

so happy for you Doris cant wait to see pics of your room it will surly brighten up anyone Midwest gloomy day
btw i am going to be planting those seeds you gave me today! I am a bit worried about my seeds not one came up i guess they could still come up but its been quite some time ill leave them a bit longer but wounder if they fully ripened some one told me to wrap tape around i did but that is where it split first and the rest of the pods where green?? no big deal 99% sure they where plain pink sense that is what the mother was and that is what the rest of the flowers where around it before i bought it i just got it because it has a seed pod and was marked down to under 1.00 no caulex either

My son knows nothing about plants so I am sure my D-I-L picked it out.

Me, too, Sheryl, but they might be phoning to beg me to come get them out of jail, or 'gimme more money', or something...

How negative of me!

Not adeniums, but Sanseveria, Mother-in-laws-tongue, or Snake Grass, growing beside the road, blooming.

Wow, they're growing wild there?

Doris, you're obviously a great mom. The kind that puts crayon pictures of who-knows-what on the fridge and never takes them down. We salute you!

Would you like a daisy?

I've had sansevieria bloom, it has a sweet scent, kind of cloying. It will naturalize in ditches and along the road here too, it's a bit of a pest I imagine.
