What is this variety? How tall and wide does it get? What's the zone hardiness? Thanks!

Hi Marilyn,

Thanks.

Sorry, I bought it years ago, long before I learned to save tags, so I don't know it's variety? It gets about 3', 3.5' wide and about 4.5' tall when in bloom. Not sure what zones this one does well in, but I'm in zone 8 and it's happy here. Probably too happy. LOL If I don't cut the stalks down after it blooms it reseeds it's self everywhere. I do love it though. We have an interesting colorful bird that visits when it's in bloom. Haven't been able to identify the bird yet, but hoping to get it's pic sometime so that I can. The hummer's like it too. Smiling I know that some Poker's are quite hardy, and then there are some that can only survive in the warmer zones. I'm sure there are varieties that would do well in Ky though.

Thanks for the info Joy. I know some Red Hot Pokers are zone 7 and warmer. I grow Poker plants here in zone 6, but never tried to grow any of the ones that are zone 7 and higher.
