The Hummingbirds Are Gone Now

It always makes me a little melancholy when I realize that the Ruby-throated Hummingbirds have left here on their annual fall migration to southern Mexico, Central America, and even as far away as South America.

If you think hummingbirds don't overwinter where you live then you might be in for a pleasant surprise!
Please click on the link to read about the research & banding which has revealed this new information. There are additional links contained within the article you will read.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others.

Thanks for posting the link, Ann. My article was focused on the Ruby-throats so this is good info to have. I do stress leaving up feeders until you no longer see birds.
