This year sure has flown! I can't believe it's December already. My mom always said that the older you get, the faster the years seem to fly ... she sure was right!

In the past (when I was younger) I always followed a schedule ... Nowadays I usually just jump right in. Green Grin!

I have a lot of Christmas decorations but since I just moved and have been busy trying to get settled I doubt I will do much Christmas decorating this year.

At the holidays I usually always bake cookies and breads for family, friends and neighbors but I haven't started yet. I will get on a roll soon and bake for two days to get it done!

No parties or other engagements for me this week ... unless you call painting one of the bedrooms an engagement. Smiling

I haven't done any shopping yet ... my gifts to family and friends this year might just be baskets of home baked goodies.

It's a crazy busy week for me in the knitting department as I try to finish up orders for scarves and fingerless mittens. In between orders I'm sneaking in my own gifts for people on my list.

I begin in October trying out new cookie recipes and choose the 2 I like best to share along with the old favorites. It may be 2 weeks before I get time to bake this year if I'm lucky.

No decorations up here and they may not get put up if people keep requesting things for me to make. My best friend makes me a wreath every year and it's due to arrive here today sometime. No tree will go up this year but I may make time to decorate the doorway between the living room and kitchen. It gets a garland and lights and small ornaments hang from the top section. It's not a regular size or shape doorway so no worries about anyone messing up my handiwork.

No parties or other events for us we are usually too busy to go anywhere.

No baking or cooking ahead of time either because my husband likes to eat anything I make when I make it.

Shopping is pretty much done except for some food items on our menu. And perhaps some fudge ingredients for DH to make everyone begging him for fudge again this year. He said the grown ups are worse than kids this year for that.

Now to finish up some orders today and make that TODO list grow a bit smaller.

Wishing everyone a Wonderful Christmas season full of joy.

My gifts for grandkids are done.
Now I will plan on baking with two of them who are in town.
My daughter is fortunate to have two ovens so baking cookies is nice over there.

While the parents attend Xmas events, the grandkids and I will bake.
I want to try making some of these "nutritious" things which seem in vogue nowadays.
Brownies made with black beans and stevia.
Cookies made with squash puree.
A chocolate lentil pie?
I have never made these before,--- and we will bake some more traditional ones like calorie rich
shortbreads.
