Sandi I can smell the scent of this fruit by just looking at your photo. It's making my mouth water.
We have only had fruit on ours twice in 8 years. It's hit and miss with our weather conditions to set fruit and mature it. I am a little jealous of your ability to ripen them. Sticking tongue out

Do you only have one? I have two because I was told I needed two to have fruit. Then someone told me they only have one and still get fruit!

I only have one. It's our fickle Pacific Northwest weather that interferes with the fruit maturing. They like the cool nights alright, but some times our growing season doesn't cooperate. : (

I have one lone fruit this year. I think I need to hand pollinate this shrub, we had almost none of the tiny wild bees that do the pollinating on the type of bloom.
Sad to say it won't make it to maturity before our freezing weather arrives. It is even trying to set new buds and has two open blooms. I've never had it do that in the fall.

Great close-up! I haven't seen any fruit this year. We had another dry, hot summer. The big tree was covered in blossoms this spring, but I guess the weather hasn't cooperated. There's always next year!

Same thing here Sandi. Record breaking drought season this year, but with night time temps in the 50's. Really has been a weird summer season this year. I drool looking at that one lone fruit. Sad
