I like that, and it looks quite large, so that would be nice for where I want it.

Gays delight was listed medium -large but mine got as big as Mahogany Giant. It really depends on soil.and location
Springcolor! I'm sure you remember Lancelot Velvet Mocha. Its really stunning with Sedona and I had it with Beckwiths Gem.

Jo Ann, now I know for sure I am getting the Gays Delight. Wow. Those are beautiful combinations.

Better get my order in. What size are the plants when you get them? Do you usually pot them up in small containers until the roots get going good?

Spring, congratulations on your new computer. Hurray! That is an awesome DH you have, for sure. Thumbs up

Polly, can't wait to see your list. Hurray!

Rosy Dawn has a growing system that developes cuttings in little plugs
The large plants sometimes come folded over. The root plugs are wraped in a plastic bag with the lable stape on. This is shoved into a paper tube abouta foot long. All tubes are the same size, they pack and ship better.
I open my plants, remove the plastic bag and sometimes leave the plants overnight in a tub of water. Some plants are taller than others but every plant is in a one foot tube..
We plant tropicals on Memorial Day weekend here as coleus especially dont like might temps below 50.
I plant directly in containers or the garden.
The plug disolves over a few weeks and the plants take off right after the first week of aclimation. I have not ordered from any other company so I dont know how others ship.

Any of you going to wait for a sale if they have one. Last year on the other site they offered 1.00 off per plant. Any of you get in on that? I did, nice savings. I just love a sale.

Sorry people.!!!
I had a chance to talk to RD earlier and asked if they would run a classified. They said no because they are trying to keep shipping costs where they are now altho he said next year or so they would need to raise shipping.

I think so and then someone posted on the coleus form over there. It had to be in your face for me to notice. It was after the first of the year some time. I think it was a tough year for most retail last year,so they might not do it this year. It will be a wait and see. I'm not locked into anyone plant so could do some subs if they sell out. I love them all!! Lovey dubby Of couse there is the greenhouse here. Whistling Whistling I just want to try some that I have never grown before.

YUP Rosy Dawn is just a couple with a big business. Its a smart way to do things with the customer in mind.
The shipping charges can break a business as well as the people who buy.
