This plant offsets readily and is forming a huge clump. I do have problems with native grasses growing in with them. Hand pulling it is very dangerous. I'm afraid of grass killer products.
Do any of you have experience with using them in cacti and succulents?

Roundup? Long-handled forceps? A fish hook disgorger?

What a clever idea! I'll have to try one of those. Seeing grasses in my plants drives me crazy. Thanks, Baja!

I am a huge fan of the fishing tool. Single best way to pull nasty spiny plants like tumbleweeds (when they're young), or weed around extra spiny succulents. The jaws have teeth and the trigger allows you to grab on pretty tight.

That really sounds great. We do have a lot of baby tumbleweeds popping up and I get pricked by them even when wearing gloves. Around our area we have a saying that 'if it moves, it bites or stings, and if it doesn't move, it sticks or pricks.' It's pretty much true!
