I'm so bad about leaving my shears laying around, bad habit. That is one reason DH won't let me use a good pair he has.

Cheaper and safer. That, is if you invest in a good pair and take care of them they'll work well for you and cut with ease. Dull and dirty, sticky clippers can resist a cut, hurt your wrist and if you force, could slip and cut something you didn't intend.

I throw mine blade deep, in a small bucket of sand in between cleaning.

Good clippers can last forever & are worth the money spent on them as opposed to cheap ones. That is IF my dh doesn't manage to get his hands on them & use them for something he's not supposed to; which he keeps doing!!!!!!!! "One of these days Alice....."

I'm learning though. I keep all the ones he's ruined & leave them "on top" so when he goes for one he gets one of the ones he's ruined & my GOOD one stays safe & sound buried deep.

Do you all have a favorite brand of pruners? I'm going to need some heavy duty pruners in the spring.

I love my pruners and have had them for many years. I am not always good to them however. DH sharpens them for me every spring. : )

I love my Felcos with the rotating handle. I have a place where I hide them from my husband so he doesn't "borrow" them for some non-gardening project (he has a whole garage full of his own tools, mind you) and "forget" to put them back.

I am guilty of buying the cheapies and then fussing because they don't work. But I am afraid that I would loose them or leave them outside always do.
What is some other "good kinds"? Maybe if I get one of the clips to attach them to myself I could keep up with them.

Or one of the necklaces that hold eye glasses. I don't have one because I only take my glasses of to go to sleep.

I am a "professional" gardener/landscaper; wouldn't be caught without my Felcos and the very handy belt holster. They are the best I've used and with regular cleaning, they are always my most used and best garden tool. (I Do Not Share them- Ever)
