Photo taken today in zone 8/9 north central Florida. This is a ground cover.

My first thought was Dichondra repens (Kidney Weed) but after taking a closer look at the photo's it looks more like Glechoma (Creeping Charlie). But I'm really not sure.

I think you were on the right track the first time. I think it's a Dichondra but it isn't repens or miracantha. Worn out tonight -- will have to pick this up tomorrow.

Ann: I recognized it because I've seen it growing in my lawn in the past but I didn't remember Partridgeberry either! Green Grin! I have fun googling but I'm so not good at comparing photo's!

I had seen it too & only knew it as partridgeberry but these senior moments ...... Grumbling I knew repens would be correct but that could apply to many things.
