You rarely seem to see or hear mention of plants in the Cyclanthaceae family. One of mine has been flowering so here's some photos. Since it doesn't seem to produce pups like some of the others in the family I'm hoping the fruits it's producing will have viable seed.

The Asplundia has produced a lot of flowers but still hasn't produced any seed. There's one remaining fruit cluster from the last flower, but it looks like going the same way as all the others - turning into a bit of shrivelled vegetation.

Interesting how no one has found a topic on Cyclanthaceae at all interesting. My interest was boosted when I read a post on another forum which also made the comment they were a family of plants most people avoided. I guess I have unusual interests. Hilarious!
