Well, I'm pretty much settled in my new home ... there are still things to get done, but I'm in no rush. This last week before Christmas I am looking forward to seeing family and friends who are coming into town for the holidays! I've already baked cookies for a few local friends and I will be busy baking cookies and breads this week in preparation for more holiday gift giving!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Thanks Trish! The flowers in the sleigh were a gift from my sister and brother in law. The mini artificial tree is one I've had for years ... and the kitty, well that spoiled girl is an oldie too, Princess was my mom's cat and she's almost 17years old.

Gorgeous, Lin! Makes me wish I were the domestic type. Trish, your pic reminded me of the great TX ice storm of 1989. I had just moved to the San Antonio area (Converse) at the time.

Holidays here? I live alone and the dogs don't know what day it is, so I don't do much. I figured out long ago that anything I put up I had to take down again and that pretty well ended any fancy decorating ideas I had, cause it's a direct conflict with my inner lazy child. I'm going to retire and live off of my savings. Not sure what I'll do that second week.

Thanks everyone!

Vic: We've been very blessed with great weather lately ... lower humidity and temp's in the mid to upper 70's, perfect! I posted some photo's on the What's Blooming in December thread, showing what I have blooming in my yard at the moment. The Hibiscus shrubs are going strong as are a couple of roses, while other things are slowly fading with the season. I know some folks are experiencing blizzard conditions right now but we are very fortunate to be having normal Florida winter weather. I sure hope it stays this way and isn't a repeat of the last two frigid winters!
