I know the chances are slim but thought I would see what you think. It is supposed to be Fire and Fog, but it looks very little like the photo in the database, the color looks like some I have seen but the form is different. Sorry I didn't measure the bloom, I would say it was about 4 inches. First year, first blooms.

I can tell you that is not Fire And Fog, the Salters have not registered anything of that form that I am aware of and with the parantage of FAF you would never see this form. If it's only four inchs I would think it must be an older daylily.

Thanks Betty and Fred. It is interesting, I kind of liked the way the petals curled and the color is pretty.

Steph it was a Costco bagged daylily, probably a tissue culture Hilarious! , I wanted something to grow during the winter so I grew it as a house plant, it did very well and bloomed. Once it warmed up it got planted outside, it will be interesting to see what it does this summer.

I know Steph, Rolling my eyes. I just didn't want you guys to get bored seeing as how there is not too much excitement in the daylily beds about now. Hilarious!

I really would like to know if anyone does have any ideas as to what it is because it is unusual looking. Hey maybe I could use the pollen on a newer daylily and get something really interesting. What do you think???
