They are pretty large, but few and far inbetween. You can see a regular hairstreak in the lower portion of my picture for comparison! We just don't get that many I guess.

It was this past year that I saw my first Great purple hairstreak! It was so striking with its bright colors, it caught my eye! I tried to get a pic but it didn't turn out very clear! Ha!
