I want to start this new forum by thanking KatG for making the beautiful banner at the top. What a talented and generous lady she is.

Now - I hope you all have fertilized your plumeria plants because SOON there will be blooms!! Like the ones above - left is Kepola Rainbow (from Hawaii), and right is Bella Napoli which is a seedling from unknown origin which I registered with the PSA.

Below is a picture of another one of my registered plants - Ventiquattro. My tree has some inflos now so I hope to see these blooms soon.

Personally I like the 13-13-13 Dynamite or similar for timed-release fertilizing. Then I give the plants some horse manure or fish emulsion during the season.

A rooted cutting can bloom the first year. Seedlings generally don't bloom until the third year.

Doris, you need to get a rooted or grafted plant, preferably one that already has an inflorescence, if you want blooms this summer!!

They are looking good Doris; however, they are YEARNING for more light, they grow skinny and lanky ( and won't bloom...) when they don't get enough sunshine. I would suggest putting them outside when you can, and also maybe giving them supplemental lighting.

You may want to get them used to the sun gradually, since they have been inside, but they are meant to be in full tropical hot sun.
