I'm having trouble knowing how I should enter this one!

This is the list we have ..

http://garden.org/plants/searc...

I had one which matches the one on a pdf named:

Senetti® Blue Bicolor ‘07
var. sunseneribuba

http://www.suntorycollection.i...

The RHS has it listed like this:

Pericallis × hybrida Senetti Blue Bicolor = 'Sunseneribuba' (PBR) (Senetti Series)

The Senetti site has all the cultivars listed, they only have a "Blue Bicolor" which has a smaller white centre but the pdf only shows the one with '07 included.

http://senetti.com/gardeners/v...

I very much doubt the "var. sunseneribuba" is a species variety as these are hybrids, on the pdf each named cultivar has been given a sort of Japanese variety name as these were developed in Japan.

It would appear I should list the plant as:

Common name: Florist's Cineraria
Genus: Pericallis
Species: x hybrida
Cultivar: Senetti Blue Bicolor

Trade Name: 'Sunseneribuba' (PBR) (Senetti Series)

This follows what the RHS has as a preferred selling name, although it seems a little strange!

The list they have on the RHS with others:

The cultivar is actually 'Sunseneribuba' and that should be entered in the cultivar field.

The trade name is "Senetti® Blue Bicolor" and should be entered in the trade name field.

The "Senetti Series" is a series name and the database does not currently support series, so leave it entirely out. There will come a time that we will support series but we are not there yet.

So, it looks like this plant is properly created as:

Common name: Florist's Cineraria
Genus: Pericallis
Species: x hybrida
Trade name: Senetti® Blue Bicolor
Cultivar: Sunseneribuba

Some folk here should have a "persistence" microbadge. Thumb of 2011-12-26/eclayne/8dd109

Rolling on the floor laughing

If Dave happened to make one I would prefer a cat, I think they are as persistent as terriers. There's already a cat lover's badge, and probably a dog lover's badge so maybe it should be something else, like a 'thorn in the side' Angel

I agree
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
