Do one of you have a pic and/ or info on Lilium superbum? I'm doing a list of Hummingbird attracting plants, and that happens to be one of them. Unfortunately, the entry in the database is bare....
I've shied away from superbum, simply because I prefer its nearly identical (but smaller) cousin, L. michiganense. So unfortunately, I can't help you. I do have some seed started last year from a very good source. Look for pics a few years down the road.

Thanks, but Trish is asking that we use our own DB pics if at all possible. I'm kinda surprised no one has it, I thought it was kind of popular! Ah well, back to the drawing board.
Does that mean none of you have grown it just long enough to give the info on it?
I am slowly making my way through my lilies and posting them on the lily archive here. Here is L. superbum. It did not do well here and I don't have it anymore. But regardless, it is here. Hope it helps!
Sheryl, I went in and edited to detail the stratification steps as well as clarify the use of "two plants" for successful fertilization. Lilies are self sterile and the two plants must be genetically different (not from the same clones/stolons) in order to get successful germination.
