Are any of the Amaryllis fragrant? I have smelled my blooming 'Alfresco and am certain that I detect a mild pleasant fragrance. I asked my 12 year old grand daughter if she could smell it last night and she said yes. Now I realize her response may have been to please me but I continue to wonder. I'll have more family members try. Has any hybridizer worked on a fragrant strain?

I may have answered my own question. 'Jewel' is said to be mildly fragrant. 'Apple Blossom' is occasionally fragrant. This would be s good project for someone.

Hi My Amaryllis hybrid is still in Bloom with 4 flowers, the vendor did not know neither the colour nor the name.

Apple Blossom seems to be lightly fragrant pleasant, Gervase has a light unpleasant oder.
