I recall when Foxfire closed their doors... someone got a few of their hostas, but I can't recall who. I know Ed Thaubald has a few... But does anyone know if Steve's Ruby Princess is out there anywhere?

A few yrs ago, Steve send me an image of it... and it really is pretty and wouldnt mind having it one day. It has similar markings to Palm Sunday, if i recall correctly.

Bill Silvers and Ed Thaubald are partners too. If Bill didn't end up with 'Ruby Princess' then Jeff Miller of Land of the Giants just might have..... and then again it just might have got lost in the madness those last few days. Steve did show it to Marie and I one time but haven't heard anyting about it since. I believe it was a sport of 'Alex Summers' and was something special.

Thanks Jeff -- I did realize Ed and Bill were partners when I went to the web site, as I've already purchased from "liners" and "streaked" last year.

Hopefully it didn't get lost in the shuffle -- sure was pretty.

Jim's Hostas has 18 different Foxfire cultivars, several that are OS. He has Palm Sunday, but not Ruby Princess.

OK Diann, I am thoroughly embarrassed! Confused I just went back to his site and its there, in all its glory!
I read it several times, started off in DG in the vendor files, someone had known him for fifty years, someplace else he was a brother in law! I went online and his site was completely dismantled. I spent 30 minutes or more trying to pull him up and I got all this weird stuff. I felt terrible! I sure hope he has some back up for his farm. What a terrible lost if something was to happen to him.
Anyway he has a few Foxfire Hostas, but not my Rose Red! Remember when I bought that Hosta, everybody wanted a piece and I decided to put it in the ground ... then I forgot where I planted it and sat a big pot on it! I am still crying! We never got to see if the flower was really red. Grumbling

Mine flowered, but it wasn't red. It was one of those I lost this year. Ed, would you let us know when you have it again? I had purchased it in memory of my little dog Rosella, and I'd really like to replace it.

Sylvia, the little hosta I thought was Rose Red, isn't. It has lost its tag and I don't know what it is. But it's not Rose Red. Has yellow margins.
