"Gort - Klaatu Barada Nikto" was the command the dude from outer space gave Patricia Neal to run back and say to the robot Gort to stop him from destroying the world -- and everyone I knew went around saying that for a while after they saw the movie (back in the -50's -- I'm dating myself!) -- loved it!

So, that must be where Curt Hanson got the name 'GORT' . I am learning so much from this conversation!

Here are a couple siblings that I like. Guess one took after mom and the other took after dad. Will see how they perform this summer after having a year to settle in after being moved from the seedling bed into the general garden for further evaluation. My seedlings are planted only about 2" apart so not much opportunity to observe performance other than maybe survival of the fittest.... until they're selected and moved out of the seedling bed. I like the green throats and the ruffled edges. Hoping for better bud counts and a little more height.

Now I HAVE to get Klaatu. I like the flower and I loved the movie. Never watched the remake because, in this case, I KNEW it couldn't match the original.

I Love the 3rd. one out of PM X SMS.
Also love both of the IG X HAI. The pin on of that cross shows some beautiful ruffling in a pale lavender on the sepals. Beautiful.

One of our favorites was Lady Duck (D. Eller, registered 2008). The petals were thick. The blooms held up well throughout 95 degree days. We had lots of blooms that were always perfect blooms.

Wow! Lisa I love TNT! And Mr. Obvious is gorgeous too. They all are actually..... Quite a coincidence that we both have Michael Bennett under a weeping cherry. Not sure how much longer it will do well there as the tree keeps getting bigger, but so far it seems quite happy.

I never met a daylily I didn't love!! .. All these photos are gorgeous!
